Amtrak began operating the nation's inter-city rail passenger trains on May 1, 1971. This collection includes the intitial Amtrak Nationwide timetable and most of the private railroad final system public timetables. They are:

Chesapeak & Ohio / Baltmore & Ohio - October 25, 1970

Grand Trunk Western - February 1,1971

Illinois Central - December 13, 1970

Louisville & Nashville - December 10, 1970

Milwaukee Road - October 25, 1970

Norfolk & Western - August 12, 1970

Penn Central Form 1 - March 3, 1971

Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac - December 11, 1970

Santa Fe - July 1, 1970

Seaboard Coast Line - December 11, 1970

Southern Pacific - October 20, 1970

Union Pacific - April 26, 1970 (Revised)

While Southern did not join Amtrak until much later,  I included the November 20, 1970 issue because I believe this is the final one that included the Central of Georgia which did join immediately.

Unfortunately, I do not have the final issues from Burlington Northern, Chicago & North Western, Delaware & Hudson, Gulf, Mobile & Ohio and Missouri Pacific at this time.
